Do you have a complete description of what's inside a humanitarian aid kit?

LightWaterLife disaster relief sustainable life kit comes in a 4-gallon container which effectively holds emergency aid items that extend self-sustainability for up to two weeks and beyond. Once opened, the container is transformed into a Sawyer® water filtration system that provides a method for clean drinking water.

Each container includes the following essential emergency preparedness supplies:

Solar Power Lighting System
LightWaterLife solar power lighting system is a completely independent, off-grid power system with a solar panel that can provide illumination for up to 5-7 hours per night. The system is comprised of a solar panel, a controller with a premium rechargeable lithium battery inside, and two 16’ wires with LED bulbs and on/off switches. It includes a USB output for recharging a cell phone and to power other USB devices. The indicator light on the box shows the amount of power stored. The solar panel charging time is about 4-6 hours (strong and direct light).

Clean Drinking Water System
The LightWaterLife 4-gallon container drinking water system utilizes a Sawyer® water filter that attains the highest level of filtration available today. The filter system can instantly turn dirty water into crystal clear drinking water and can provide for the hydration needs of an entire family as long as it is necessary.

The filters are comprised of tiny “U” shaped micro tubes that allow water to enter into their core through tiny micro pores. The PointOne Filter pores are so small (0.1 micron absolute) that no bacteria, protozoa, or cysts like E. coli, cholera or typhoid, can get through. At 7 log (99.99999%) the filter attains the highest level of filtration available today and still has a very high flow rate due to the large amount of tubes. Each filter is certified for ABSOLUTE microns. That means there will be no pore size larger than 0.1 microns in the biological filter. Simply put, it is impossible for bacteria to pass through the 0.1 micron filter. The system can filter up to 500 gallons a day with a 100,000-gallon lifespan (or about ten years).

Emergency First Aid
The 300-piece comprehensive emergency first aid kit is compact and easy to carry. Each component of the kit has been manufactured in accordance to FDA specifications to ensure they perform as intended in an emergency. The kit includes a first aid booklet providing instructions on basic medical care and treatment.

AM/FM & NOAA Emergency Rechargeable Radio
The pocket-sized AM/FM & NOAA weather radio will provide families with the latest local weather and hazard information. With three charging methods (micro USB charging, solar charging, and manual hand crank), the self-powered system will provide continuous power to the radio and flashlight for up to 18 hours. Hand crank the radio to recharge a cell phone via USB cable for emergency calls. Push the SOS button and the alarm with a flashing red light can signal for help when needed. The power indicator lights help monitor the power capacity of the radio.

Time matters.

Traditionally, emergency preparedness agencies have suggested that people prepare ready kits in order to provide food, water, and supplies for up to 72 hours. Most emergency preparedness kits have been designed to provide supplies for 3 days.

Over the last few years, emergency preparedness agencies, in states such as Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Alabama, have begun to recommend that people should be ready to act on their own for at least 14 days. While officials and relief workers will be on the scene after a disaster, they cannot reach everyone immediately.

Be prepared.

Disasters with long recovery periods require smart preparation. Access to clean water and electricity solutions that last for 2-4 weeks is critical.

Independent, off-grid power systems can provide consistent electricity for hours of light every night, communication with the outside world, and recharge important devices, such as a cell phone or tablet.

Sustainable clean drinking water solutions provide a method for an unlimited supply of water and do not require access to pure drinking water. Portable water filtration systems can instantly turn dirty water into crystal clear drinking water.

Sustain life.

LightWaterLife has created effective and sustainable disaster relief solutions that provide people access to clean water, electricity, and the basics of life during prolonged emergency situations.

Our mission is simple…to empower people with the basics of life.

LIGHT. WATER. LIFE.
